The Celestron AstroMaster 70AZ is an ideal telescope for those who want to explore the sky for the first time, but want to start with a solid instrument. With its 70 mm opening it captures over a hundred times more light than the naked eye and clearly more than standard 60 mm beginners' models. Thus, at magnifications up to 140× the rings of Saturn, the moon of Jupiter, the polar caps of Mars and numerous craters on the moon with bright contrast.
