The EdgeHD Series is specially designed for astrophotography with modern sensors. Where traditional Schmidt-Cassegrains show slight distortion at the edges, the EdgeHD 800 completely corrects this: stars remain perfectly round, even on large sensors such as APS-C or full-frame.

With a 203 mm opening and a focal length of 2032 mm (f/10) this telescope offers a balanced combination of magnification, sharpness and contrast. You can effortlessly see fine structures in nebulae and spiral arms in galaxies, while planets and the Moon come into focus razor sharp.

The StarBright XLT coating guarantees maximum light transmission and clear contrast. Thanks to the integrated vents with microfilters, the telescope cools faster, minimizing image distortion. The EdgeHD 8 is compatible with Celestron's 0.7× reducer, shortening it to f/7 - ideal for faster deep-sky photography.

Advanced VX mount, precision in a compact size

The Celestron Advanced VX (AVX) mount is made for mobile astrophotography. With a carrying capacity of 13.5 kg, it effortlessly supports the EdgeHD 800 with camera and accessories.

The built-in GoTo control with NexStar+ hand controller provides access to more than 40,000 objects. Thanks to features such as All-Star Polar Alignment and PEC (Periodic Error Correction) you can align and track precisely, even in long exposures. The robust steel legs (51 mm diameter) ensure high stability and minimal vibration.

The mount can also far beyond the meridian follow so you can photograph or observe without interruption.
