The ZWO Tilt Lens M68 is an essential tool for demanding astrophotographers who want to perfectly focus their field of view to the corners. This adapter allows precise correction of small tilts between camera and telescope. This prevents blur, asymmetrical star points or clipping of corners in post-processing.
Common problems such as a tilted sensor, a slightly tilted focuser or aberrations in the image plane of Newton telescopes can lead to distortions in only one or two corners of your shot. This tilt lens offers a mechanical solution: you correct the camera's image plane relative to the optical path, regardless of the source of the aberration.
Adjustment is done manually via three set screws and counter screws. By making targeted adjustments based on test images, you can achieve perfect field plane correction step by step. The tilt lens adds only 5 mm of optical length and is therefore also suitable for use in systems with limited back focus.
Key features
✓ Resolves angular blur and tilt of sensor or focuser
✓ Very suitable for Newton telescopes and complex setups
✓ For accurate chip alignment in deep-sky and H-alpha photography
✓ Prevents loss of detail or forced cropping of image
✓ Adjustable with set screws, locking via counter screws
✓ Only 5 mm optical length - minimal impact on backfocus
