Skywatcher Mount AZ-GTi GoTo WiFi without tripod

The Skywatcher Mount AZ-GTi GoTo WiFi without tripod is a compact, lightweight and fully computer-controlled azimuthal mount. Despite its small size, it can carry optics up to 5 kg and offers the same technology as larger GoTo systems. This makes the AZ-GTi an ideal travel mount for both visual observations and light astrophotography.

The mount is equipped with a integrated WiFi module, eliminating the need for any cables or handheld controller. You simply connect to your smartphone or tablet via the mount's WiFi signal and control everything with the SynScan app (available for Android and iOS). In the app, you will find more than 10,000 celestial objects, from planets and galaxies to nebulae and binary stars.

The app guides you step by step through the alignment to the sky, with several automatic methods that even beginners can easily perform. So you don't have to have astronomical knowledge to get started - the mount helps you find and even recognize objects through a built-in “tour” function that recommends interesting celestial phenomena.

The FreedomFind™ technology is one of the biggest pluses of the AZ-GTi. This encoder technology keeps the mount knowing where it is, even if you move the telescope manually. So you can manually aim the optics, make minor adjustments, and then continue tracking with the GoTo system - without recalibration or loss of position.

The mount works on eight AA batteries or an external power tank (7.5-14 V DC, 0.75 A, tip positive). Low power consumption allows you to observe for hours without additional power supply.

With a 3/8″ photo screw connection the AZ-GTi fits on virtually any standard photo tripod or travel stand, making it particularly flexible to use.
