When observing bright objects, such as the moon or planets, the image can quickly become too bright. This variable polarizer filter gives you control over the amount of light transmitted: from about 1% to 40%. So you decide how much brightness and contrast you need, depending on the object and conditions.
The filter consists of two rotating parts. By rotating them relative to each other, you adjust the light transmission infinitely. This makes it particularly suitable for the moon, but also for details on planets and (in combination with a suitable solar filter) structures such as sun spots and faculae.
The neutral gray color provides a true-to-life image without unwanted color tones. Thanks to its universal design, the filter fits virtually all 1.25″ eyepieces.
