Omegon Pro Coma Corrector for Astrograph corrects coma in high-light Newton telescopes (up to f/4). Without a corrector, you will see comet-like, elongated stars at the edges of your images. This coma corrector ensures that stars are again perfectly sharp and point-shaped, right to the far corners of your field of view. This allows you to use the full field of view of your camera without cropping your photos.
The corrector plugs directly into the 2″ focuser and, thanks to its M48 thread, offers optimal exposure even with larger sensors. The required back focus is 75 mm, so in many cases you only need a short extension ring to achieve the correct distance between sensor and lens system. For DSLRs with a sensor distance of 55 mm, for example, an additional 20 mm extension is sufficient.
In addition to photography, the corrector can also be used visually. With the included 2″ eyepiece mount (with compression ring and double screw mount), you will enjoy a sharp and coma-free image in your eyepieces.
Application
Suitable for Newton telescopes and astrographers with an aperture ratio up to f/4. Ideal for astrophotographers who work with wide-angle shots and want to eliminate coma in their images. Also usable visually for observers who want to maintain sharpness to the edge of their eyepiece field.
