The moon can be so bright while observing that details are lost and your eyes get tired. This filter blocks about 87% of light and lets only 13% through. This provides calmer images and makes fine details such as craters and structures more visible, without changing the moon's natural color.
This version is particularly suitable for telescopes with apertures from 200 mm. Thanks to its 2″ connection, you can easily use it in a 2″ eyepiece by screwing the filter in. The filter can also be used when viewing very bright planets, such as Venus.
The filter glass is made of polished, colored glass and placed in a sturdy anodized aluminum holder. Because the glass is colored through and through, the filter cannot wear out and maintains its quality even after years of use.
