With a load capacity of up to 8 kg without counterweight or 12 kg with counterweight the HAE16C offers a surprising amount of power for its size. It weighs only 3.2 kg, making it easy to take it with you to any observing spot. Ideal for mobile astrophotographers and travelers who don't want to lug around a heavy setup.
Dual AZ/EQ design - flexible for any situation
Use it as azimuthal mount For quick setups or as equatorial mount for precise astrophotography. This allows you to adjust the setup to what you want to do that night - visual observation or long exposures.
Quiet, smooth and precise
The innovative SWG Hybrid Drive combines a Strain Wave Gear on the RA axis with a worm gear on the DEC axis. So you get the precision of a premium mount, but at a lower price. The result: smooth tracking, sharp images and stable performance - even at high magnifications.
Smart security and self-calibration
The built-in Electronic Friction Brake protects your telescope. If the power goes out, the mount stops immediately and does not lose its position. As soon as you turn it back on, it calibrates automatically and know exactly where it stands. That means less time setting, more time observing.
Modern control with Go2Nova & WiFi
The Go2Nova® 8411 controller gives access to 212,000 sky objects - From planets to distant nebulae. Thanks to built-in WiFi easily control the mount via your smartphone or tablet with SkySafari, Raspberry Pi or INDI. No cables, no hassle - just wireless control.

The HAE16C comes with a power supply and sturdy carrying case, so you can get started right away. Tripod and column extension are optional, but for maximum stability we recommend the iOptron CF tripod (40 mm) to.
