The Focus mask Bahtinov Skywatcher 130PDS allows you to adjust the focus of your telescope with extreme precision - essential for any astrophotographer. The mask is placed in front of the telescope's aperture and, when focusing on a star, creates a characteristic pattern of light rays. When the center ray is exactly between the two oblique rays, the focus is perfect.
Thanks to its many fine slots, you can use this mask even with dimly illuminating stars, making it more reliable than the traditional Scheiner mask. Although a Bahtinov mask is ideally calculated specifically per aperture ratio, practice has shown that this model performs excellently over a wide f-number range.
The mask is made of durable PETG via 3D printing technology and remains dimensionally stable up to temperatures of approximately 80°C. As a result, it remains stable even under cold or humid conditions during prolonged use.
Application:
Perfect for astrophotographers working with the Skywatcher Explorer 130PDS and strive for maximum sharpness and detail in their deep-sky shots. This mask lets you focus quickly and repeatably, even with fainter stars or slight seeing variations. Ideal for nights when precision counts.
