The Baader Filters OIII CMOS f/2 Highspeed 1.25″ is designed specifically for modern astro cameras with CMOS sensors and fast optics. Tuned to a central wavelength of 500.7 nm (OIII line), the filter compensates for the light cone shift that occurs at telescopes with an aperture ratio of up to f/2.
As a result, the filter achieves maximum transmission of oxygen emissions in planetary nebulae, supernova remnants and emission nebulae, while drastically reducing light pollution and background noise. The Baader hard coating technology ensures a stable transmission profile, even in fast systems, and prevents reflections or halos.
Application:
Perfect for astrophotography with fast telescopes (RASA, HyperStar, Epsilon, Celestron Rowe-Ackermann). Ideal for:
- Emission nebulae (OIII) such as the Veil Nebula
- Planetary Nebulae (e.g., M27 Dumbbell)
- Supernova remnants and narrowband projects
