ZWO AM5 Harmonic Equatorial Mount

ZWO AM5 Harmonic Equatorial Mount is a lightweight but powerful mount designed specifically for mobile astrophotography. With its own weight of only 5.5 kg and a load capacity of up to 13 kg without a counterweight, this system is ideal for those who travel a lot or do not want to lug around a heavy setup. For heavier telescopes, you can expand to 20 kg with an optional counterweight.

The mount uses harmonic drive technology, making it extremely stable and accurate in a compact size. Each AM5 is individually calibrated by ZWO with a guaranteed periodic error below ±20 arc seconds. When combined with an autoguider, such as the ZWO ASI120MM Mini or ASI220MM Mini, you achieve reliable tracking that meets the requirements of serious deep-sky photography.

A big advantage of the AM5 is its flexibility: you can use it both in equatorial mode (for long-exposure and deep-sky) and in alt-azimuth mode (for visual observation or fast planetary photography). The status LED clearly shows the active mode: red for equatorial, green for alt-azimuth.

The AM5 works seamlessly with the ZWO ASIAIR and is fully wirelessly controllable via smartphone or tablet. Thanks to internal cable routing, the setup remains uncluttered and free of loose cables.
