The Skywatcher Mount WAVE-100i Strainwave GoTo Wi-Fi is an advanced, extremely compact mount with harmonic drive. Thanks to the Strainwave transmission this mount delivers an exceptional combination of precision, carrying capacity (up to 10 kg) and mobility. Ideal for astrophotographers who want maximum performance in a portable design.

The harmonic gearbox system offers high torque with minimal backlash and a smooth tracking mechanism. Compared to classic worm gears, backlash is almost negligible, resulting in perfect tracking, essential for long exposures and accurate positioning. The WAVE-100i works both in equatorial (EQ) as alt-azimutale (AZ) mode, making it suitable for both astrophotography and visual observation.

The belt drive stepper motors ensure quiet, stable movements and a maximum speed of 2400× (10°/sec). The compact design with integrated RA brake function Makes installation of counterweights easy and prevents inadvertent rotation when power is off.

It is operated wirelessly via WiFi or Bluetooth with the Skywatcher SynScan PRO app, available for iOS, Android and Windows. The mount is also compatible with popular software such as Stellarium, SkySafari, Cartes du Ciel, ASCOM and INDI.

A clever addition is the red illuminated latitude indicator and spirit level, which greatly simplifies nighttime alignment. Thanks to the dual-fit Losmandy/Vixen dovetail clamp the WAVE-100i is compatible with virtually any mid-range telescopic tube.

With its light weight of just 4.3 kg and load capacity of up to 10 kg, this mount offers an impressive balance of power and mobility - ideal for astrophotographers who are often on the road or want to quickly set up on location.
