Compact high-contrast Maksutov

The Skywatcher MC 102/1300 is a compact Maksutov telescope that is perfect for traveling. It fits in almost any bag and delivers bright, high-contrast images. With an aperture of 102 mm, it already captures 212 times more light than the human eye. This allows you to see planets sharply and also admire the Orion Nebula and other Deep Sky objects. The long focal length of 1300 mm (f/12.7) allows for detailed observations, while the short tube of 28 cm keeps the telescope stable and manageable.

Versatile and easy to use

This telescope works for both astronomical observations and nature observations. The 1.25″ connection with deflection optics makes using standard eyepieces easy. For photography, you easily connect a DSLR with a T2 ring. The Starquest EQ mount keeps your objects in focus. Only one axis compensates for Earth's rotation, so tracking remains easy. Large movements are cleared by loosening the clamps and moving the telescope manually.

Razor-sharp and clear images

The Maksutov optics deliver sharp stars and clear planetary disks. The compact design ensures minimal vibration. Within minutes, the telescope is up and running, so you can immediately enjoy Moon, planets and bright nebulae.

What to expect

✓ Moon: craters and mountains clearly visible
✓ Planets: sharp disks and contrast differences
✓ Deep-sky: Orion Nebula and other bright objects visible
✗ Astrophotography: limited to moon and planet photos
✗ Sun: only with suitable sun filters
