The Sky-Watcher Dobson telescope N 254/1200 Skyliner FlexTube BD DOB GoTo combines the classic luminosity of a 10-inch Dobson with the modern luxury of automatic object location and tracking. Thanks to the GoTo function with SynScan manual control, you can choose from more than 42,900 celestial objects. The telescope automatically locates and tracks them, allowing you to observe comfortably even at high magnifications.

With an aperture of 254 mm and f/4.7 focal ratio, this Dobson 56% captures more light than an 8-inch model. With it, you'll resolve globular clusters in individual stars, recognize structures in nebulae and enjoy impressive details on planets. Think of the Cassini separation in Saturn's rings or Jupiter's cloud bands and moons.
The FlexTube construction makes the telescope surprisingly portable despite its size. You simply slide the tube in and out, reducing transport and storage space requirements. A sturdy 2” Crayford focuser ensures precise focusing, and with the built-in T2 thread you can also connect a DSLR with an adapter. The powerful servo motors move smoothly on both axes, so you maintain a stable image even during long observations or lunar eclipses.
Application
This telescope is ideal for advanced amateurs who want to combine the advantages of a large mirror with the convenience of automatic GoTo control. It is excellent for the moon, planets and deep-sky objects, but not intended for extensive astrophotography. The automatic tracking does allow for short shots of bright objects.
