Orange color filter 2 inch - Omegon #21

This 2-inch orange color filter from Omegon is designed to reveal subtle details that are difficult to notice without a filter. By filtering some of the light, contrast increases greatly and structures on planets and the moon become more noticeable. Think of dust storms and polar caps on Mars, more detail in the bands of Jupiter or shadows and details in craters on the moon.

The all-color filter glass sits in a robust, anodized aluminum mount that is only 5mm thick. Thanks to this thin mount, the filter also fits into a zenith mirror or filter wheel. The double threads on both sides make it easy to combine multiple filters for specific observations. The filter comes in a sturdy plastic storage box.
