Omegon Pro UHC Nebula Filter M56 is a powerful light pollution filter in a unique format: designed specifically for use in accessories with an M56 thread, such as some focusers or adapters. The filter works on the Ultra High Contrast (UHC) principle and increases the contrast of emission nebulae by selective transmission of astronomically relevant wavelengths, such as OIII and H-beta.

This narrowband filter is intended for visual deep-sky observation from light-polluted areas, but also offers advantages in dark locations. Artificial light from streetlights is largely blocked, while nebular structures and filaments stand out brightly against a darker sky background. Thanks to the multiple coating and high optical quality, the image remains sharp, clear and color-neutral within desired transmission bands.

The M56 size makes this filter less common than the standard 1.25″ or 2″ models, but valuable for that very reason for specific setups where an internal thread is needed - for example, with some guide scopes, field flatteners or compact photo adapters.
