The iOptron CEM40 NUC makes star tracking easy and accurate. You put your telescope on the mount, and the CEM40 automatically tracks celestial objects. This keeps your objects sharp and properly aligned, even at long exposures.

Compact but powerful
Weighing only 8.2 kg, the CEM40 carries up to 18 kg of optics and accessories. That means you can easily take your mount to dark sky spots or install it in a small garden observatory.

Smart technology for effortless alignment
The integrated iPolar electronic polar finder helps you align the mount exactly north, even when the Pole Star is not visible. The dual prism clamp accepts Losmandy and Vixen rails, so your optics are securely and accurately fixed.

Quiet, efficient drive
The CEM40 uses ultra-quiet stepper motors with low power consumption. Movements are smooth and detailed, ideal for balcony observatories or long shoots. Large clamps make disconnecting the motor easy, even with gloves on. The internal cable system prevents tangling and cable breaks.

GoTo and GPS functions
Use the Go2Nova® 8407 handheld controller to quickly navigate the night sky. The database contains 212,000 objects. The built-in GPS saves you from manually entering time, date and location. The system supports ST-4 autoguiders and PEC correction for accurate astrophotography.

Durable and easy to use
The CNC-machined housing looks sleek and is solidly built. The Universal Self-Centering Saddle system offers compatibility with standard Losmandy and Vixen swallowtails. This keeps your optics precisely aligned, ready for use.
