What makes this volume unique
The ZWO FF80 APO is an apochromatic refractor with four lens elements, two of which are made of ED glass. This ensures a bright, color-fast image without distracting chromatic aberration. The built-in field plane corrector immediately gives your camera a flat field of view all the way to the edges - without additional lenses or distance settings. This means you can start shooting right away.

The telescope has a focal length of 600 mm and an aperture ratio of f/7.5. This provides enough magnification to capture fine details in nebulae, galaxies and star clusters, while keeping the image wide enough for larger objects.

About the AM3 mount
The AM3 is a mount based on harmonic transmission. This means that it can track extremely precisely without counterweights - as long as the weight of the telescope remains under 8 kg. Thanks to this technology, the AM3 operates quietly, lightly and with minimal backlash. It is suitable for both equatorial (EQ) and azimuthal (AZ) tracking. The status light shows which mode you are in.

The mount is fully wirelessly controllable via your phone or tablet with the ASIAIR app, but also works with a wireless handbox. ZWO tests each mount for precision and guarantees a periodic error of no more than ±20 arcseconds - a crucial feature for long exposures.

The carbon tripod
The included carbon tripod combines low mass with maximum stability. It carries up to 50 kg and withstands vibrations during longer shoots. You can fill the included weight container with sand or stones for additional stability, for example on hard ground or in light wind. The low weight and compact dimensions make this tripod suitable for mobile use.
