The ZWO ASI533MC Pro Color is a compact, cooled color camera with a square sensor for deep-sky and planetary photography. The Sony IMX533 CMOS sensor with back-illuminated technology ensures high sensitivity, low noise, and sharp images of galaxies, nebulae, and the moon.
Thanks to the square sensor (3008 × 3008 pixels) of 9 MP and a pixel size of 3.76 µm, this camera is ideal for use with fast telescopes such as apochromats, Newtonians, or HyperStar systems. With a QE up to 80%, active Peltier cooling, and 14-bit ADC, this camera offers performance previously only known from CCD cameras – but with much higher sensitivity.
Key Features
- Sony IMX533 CMOS sensor (9 MP) – square format, 3008 × 3008 pixels
- Pixel size 3.76 µm – suitable for f/4 to f/8 telescopes
- Active Peltier cooling – up to 35°C below ambient temperature
- QE up to 80% – thanks to back-illuminated technology
- 14-bit ADC and low noise – for deep and detailed images
- USB 3.0 & DDR3 buffer – fast and stable data transfer
Applications
✓ Deep-sky photography: nebulae, galaxies, clusters ✓ Planets and Moon: sharp details thanks to high resolution and low noise ✓ Video astronomy (EAA) and short exposure imaging ✓ Color images without LRGB filter wheels
