The Vespera solar filter transforms your Vespera into a powerful solar observation instrument. This filter allows you to view sunspots – the dark spots on the sun’s surface that indicate solar activity. A unique way to experience astronomy during the day, without risk to your instrument or eyes.

Observe and Photograph the Sun with Vespera

Thanks to the special Sun Mode in the Singularity app, you can observe the sun in near real-time via the live screen. Through the Observation tab, you can easily take photos and capture changes in solar activity.

Take images at different times of the day, week, or month and compare them to track the sun’s dynamics. Sunspots can remain visible for several days or even weeks, giving you insight into the cycle of solar activity.

Monitor Sunspots and Create Time-Lapse Recordings

While automatic video recording for solar or planetary observation is not yet available in the Singularity app, images can be easily downloaded in jpg format and processed in photo editing software or for gif animations. This allows you to create your own time-lapse of sunspot evolution.

Exposure time: 250 µs per shot, for bright and detailed imaging.
