The Skywatcher Mount EQ-AL55i Pro SynScan GoTo WiFi is a versatile, portable and highly accurate equatorial mount - designed for mobile astrophotographers as well as visual observers. Combining lightweight construction, advanced GoTo functionality and WiFi control via smartphone, this system is ideal for those traveling or observing under different latitudes.

The mount has a two-position adjustable counterweight bar, making him at all latitudes of 0° to 90° can be used. This avoids the limitations that many other mounts have at extreme polar heights. This makes the EQ-AL55i perfect not only for use in the Netherlands, but also under more southern or northern starry skies.

Operation is completely wireless via the built-in WLAN module and the free SynScan Pro app, available for both iOS and Android. With this app, you can choose from thousands of celestial objects and perform automatic GoTo navigation, or have the telescope track manually.

For accurate alignment, the EQ-AL55i features a illuminated polar finder, which allows quick and precise adjustment to the celestial pole. The mount supports multiple tracking modes (solar, lunar and sidereal velocity) and can be used in both northern and southern hemispheres.

In addition, the EQ-AL55i offers a wide range of connections: USB-C, ST-4 autoguider port, SNAP port for DSLR triggering and connection for an optional SynScan handheld controller. The 12V power supply ensures stable performance even during long photographic sessions.

The robust 44 mm steel tripod legs provide excellent stability, while the total system weight of only 14.8 kg makes it easy to take anywhere.
