The perfect start for any beginner
The Omegon AC 70/700 AZ-2 is a classic lens telescope with excellent price-performance ratio.
With his 70 mm opening and 700 mm focal length it offers sharp, high-contrast images of the Moon, the brightest planets and open clusters.
Thanks to the AZ-2 mount aiming is child's play: move the telescope smoothly up, down, left or right, and easily track objects as they move across the sky.
Within minutes, the telescope is ready to use!

Clear, colorfast images
The achromatic double lens (dublet) of 70 mm corrects color aberrations and delivers a bright, clean image.
The focal ratio f/10 provides a good balance between magnification and light output, allowing you to view the Moon as well as Jupiter, Saturn and Venus in razor sharp focus.
What to expect to see:
- Moon: impressive craters, shadows and mountain ranges
- Jupiter: The four Galilean moons and cloud bands
- Saturn: rings and the bright moon Titan visible
- Orion Nebula and Pleiades: under dark sky clearly observable
The included zenith mirror (90°) Provides a comfortable upright view, ideal for both astronomical and terrestrial use.

AZ-2 mount - stable and smooth
The Omegon AZ-2 mount is a classic among beginner setups.
Thanks to the robust aluminum tripod with adjustable legs, the telescope stands firmly on any surface.
The manual fine adjustment in height makes tracking celestial objects easy, even at high magnifications.
The accessory tray in the center of the tripod provides space for eyepieces and filters, so you have everything within easy reach while observing.

Fully equipped - ready to use immediately
The telescope comes as a complete set, so you can get started without additional accessories:
- Refractor optics 70/700 mm (achromatic)
- AZ-2 mount with aluminum tripod
- 25 mm and 10 mm eyepieces (1.25″)
- LED viewfinder
- Zenith mirror (90°)
- Accessory tray
Set up and ready for observation within minutes - perfect for spontaneous observing moments in the garden or on vacation.
