The Omegon Guidescope Modulfinder is a compact tracking scope and viewfinder in one. Specially designed for small telescopes or mounts with limited carrying capacity, where a heavy guidescope and tube rings would be too much of a burden. With its 50 mm aperture and 180 mm focal length, the Modulfinder offers a clear image and works excellently with modern, sensitive autoguider cameras.
You easily attach the Modulfinder in a standard Synta/Vixen viewfinder shoe, just like a normal viewfinder. At only 450 grams, it hardly adds any weight to your telescope, but delivers the precision you need for successful astrophotography. The three adjustment screws ensure accurate alignment with the main telescope and make it easy to find a suitable tracking star.
In addition to guiding, you can also use the Modulfinder as a classic viewfinder. With a 1.25″ connection, you can easily use a crosshair or other eyepiece to locate celestial objects. This makes the Modulfinder a versatile solution for both visual use and photography.
Application
The Omegon Guidescope Modulfinder is ideal for astrophotographers with compact telescopes and lightweight mounts who still want to use autoguiding. Its light weight, 1.25″ connection and easy mounting in a viewfinder shoe make this accessory extremely practical. Suitable for telescopes with focal lengths up to about 1500 mm.
