More opening, more detail
The Omegon 90/1000 EQ-2 is the natural successor to entry-level models such as the 70/900. With its 90 mm opening and long focal length of 1000 mm (f/11.1) this lens telescope delivers bright, high-contrast images of the moon, planets and the brightest deep-sky objects. The larger aperture captures more than 60% extra light compared to a 70 mm telescope - enough to make subtle details on Jupiter or Saturn visible and nebular structures such as in Orion (M42) distinguishable.
The achromatic optics with 1.25″ focuser offers sharp images up to 180× magnification without noticeable color loss, ideal for planetary and lunar viewing.

EQ-2 mount - stable and smooth tracking
The robust EQ-2 parallactic mount is designed to move smoothly and accurately. By adjusting only one axis, you automatically follow objects with the earth's rotation. An excellent way to learn how to work with real astronomical systems - exactly as professionals do.
The adjustable aluminum tripod ensures stability and minimizes vibration even at high magnifications. The mount is also compatible with small tracking motors, so you can easily upgrade to automatic tracking later.

What you can see with it
✓ The moon in razor-sharp detail, with terminator shadows and creases
✓ Saturn with its rings and Cassini separation
✓ Jupiter with cloud bands and the four Galilean moons
✓ Venus in its phases and Mars With polar caps at opposition
✓ Bright deep-sky objects such as the Orion Nebula (M42), Pleiades (M45) and globular cluster M13
✗ Not suitable for long exposure photography
✗ Sun observation only with appropriate solar filter
Why this telescope makes a difference
The Omegon 90/1000 EQ-2 is built for those who have outgrown their first telescope. The larger aperture and stable mount give you more range and more control over your observations. Perfect for those who want to make the leap to true astronomical observations with precision and peace of mind.
Expert Opinion
This model is ideal for beginners with ambition. The 90 mm aperture offers a big jump in detail and light output, while the EQ-2 mount stable enough to grow with your experience. Later, add a motor for automatic tracking add and you have a system that will last for years.
