Celestron Telescope N 130/650 Astromaster EQ-MD is a Newton reflector that is ideal for beginners and hobby astronomers who want to take things a step further. With a mirror diameter of 130 mm, the telescope captures a lot of light, making the moon, planets and bright deep-sky objects clearly visible. The focal length of 650 mm gives a bright and wide field of view, ideal for nebulae and star clusters, while higher magnifications bring out the details of planets and moon craters.
The major difference from the standard version is the addition of a tracking motor on the CG-2 mount. This motor automatically moves with the earth's rotation, keeping objects neatly in focus, even at higher magnifications. This makes observing quieter and more comfortable, and is also a good first step toward simple astrophotography.
The telescope is equipped with an LED viewfinder and a 1.25″ focuser, making it easy to use eyepieces and accessories. The sturdy steel tripod is height adjustable and, with the accessory tray, always provides room for additional eyepieces and filters. Assembly is easy and can be done without tools, so you'll be ready to start quickly.
Application
With this telescope you can see sharp details of the moon, such as craters, valleys and mountains. Planets such as Jupiter with its moons, Saturn with its rings and even Mars with polar caps are observable. Thanks to the bright aperture, deep-sky objects such as the Orion Nebula, the Andromeda Nebula and open clusters such as the Pleiades are also easily visible. The tracking motor allows for longer and quieter observing, and makes taking simple photos of the moon and planets possible.
