The Baader Classic Ortho series is based on the traditional orthoscopic design, but with modern improvements in coating and field of view. These eyepieces are designed for situations where sharpness and contrast are critical, such as observing the moon, planets and binary stars.
With a simple four-lens design and high-quality multicoatings, the Classic Orthos deliver a bright, high-contrast image with minimal reflections. Compared to classic orthoscopes, they offer a slightly wider 52° apparent field of view, without compromising image quality.
Thanks to their compact construction, these eyepieces are also particularly suitable for binoviewers, where low mass and good image correction are important. The included rubber eyecup increases viewing comfort, also for eyeglass wearers.
What do you see with it
- Fine details on Jupiter: cloud bands and the Great Red Spot
- Saturn with rings and the Cassini line
- High-contrast lunar craters and shadow structures
