Extendable 8-inch Dobson with powerful optics
The Sky-Watcher Dobson telescope N 203/1200 Skyliner FlexTube BD DOB is a modern, versatile version of the classic Dobson. With a mirror aperture of 203 mm and a focal length of 1200 mm (f/6) it offers an impressive combination of light output, sharpness and ease of use. Thanks to the FlexTube design you simply slide the tube in and out, reducing telescope space when transporting or storing it - without any loss of optical performance.

Powerful images of Moon, planets and deep-sky objects
The large 203 mm mirror captures more than enough light to bring a wide range of celestial objects into clear, high-contrast focus.
- Moon: deep craters, lunar seas and sharp terminator lines.
- Jupiter: cloud bands, moons and shadow transitions.
- Saturn: The iconic rings with visible Cassini lines.
- Mars: polar caps and subtle differences in color.
- Deep-sky: Orion Nebula, Andromeda galaxy, globular clusters and star fields in the Summer Triangle area.
The long focal length (f/6) allows high magnifications while maintaining sharpness and contrast. At the same time, the field of view remains wide enough for nebulae and star clusters, making the telescope particularly versatile.

FlexTube and Black Diamond: practical and stylish
The patented FlexTube system from Sky-Watcher makes this telescope more compact without loss of stability or collimation accuracy. The tube slides out smoothly to observation position and locks securely, ready for use in seconds.
The Black Diamond version (BD) represents improved workmanship and mechanical refinement. The stable wooden Dobson mount rotates smoothly in both axes, while the 2″ Crayford focuser with 1.25″ adapter offers compatibility with both standard and wide-angle eyepieces.
The Included 25 mm and 10 mm eyepieces offer an immediate good start for low and high magnifications, and the 9×50 optical viewfinder helps you find objects quickly and accurately.

What we recommend
The Skyliner FlexTube 203/1200 BD is ideal for:
- Beginners who want immediate impressive results without complicated assembly.
- Advanced observers Who seek a powerful, low-maintenance all-around telescope.
- Visual observation of Moon, planets and deep-sky objects under dark skies.
What you can see with it:
- Planets with high resolution and clear details.
- Bright deep-sky objects with striking structure.
- Large star fields and nebulae thanks to the wide field of view.
Note that this telescope is relatively large and requires some space in use and storage - but in return offers true “wow factor” images.
