Omegon Radiant Finder with mount helps you find stars, nebulae and galaxies much faster. Where a standard red dot finder projects only a dot, the Radiant shows target circles of 0.5°, 2° and 4°. So you can compare distances directly with your star chart and know exactly where to look. This makes locating even fainter deep-sky objects surprisingly easy, even without a GoTo system.
The projection is infinitely dimmed, so you can adjust the brightness perfectly to suit conditions - bright enough in brighter areas, but also dim enough to maintain your night vision under dark skies. The included base attaches easily with adhesive strips to telescopes from 100 mm tube diameter. Two locking screws secure the Radiant in place or release it just as easily.
Uniquely, the Radiant comes standard with a special ruler with Radiant circles, exclusive to buyers. This translates object positions from your star chart directly into the sky, making use even more intuitive.
Application
Ideal for both beginners and advanced observers who want faster success in finding celestial objects. Especially suitable for manually operated telescopes and observers who still want to navigate accurately without a GoTo system. Can also be used for alignment of mounts, similar to the well-known Telrad technique.
