The Omegon Camera veTEC 533 M Mono is designed for astrophotographers who want to get the highest quality from their images using narrowband and LRGB filters. The Sony IMX533 sensor delivers a square 9 MP image with extremely low noise and no amp-glow, making even the faintest nebula structures visible.
The cooling system brings the sensor to 35°C below ambient temperature and keeps images consistent, even in warmer conditions. Combined with dark frames, you can accurately reduce noise. Being a monochrome camera, you use filters to collect data per channel (L, R, G, B, or narrowband). This provides more detail and flexibility than a color camera, making it popular among advanced astrophotographers.
The camera has a built-in USB hub, allowing accessories like filter wheels or focusers to connect directly to the camera. This reduces the number of cables and keeps the setup organized. Thanks to the standard T2 and 2″ connection, it’s widely compatible.
