ZWO Filter Set H-alpha, SII, OIII 1.25″ – narrowband imaging for maximum nebula detail
This high-quality narrowband filter set is specifically designed for astrophotography with monochrome cameras. With a bandwidth of only 7 nm, the H-alpha, SII, and OIII filters each isolate their specific emission line, revealing faint nebula structures with high contrast. Light pollution is effectively suppressed, even under urban skies.
What does each filter do?
- H-alpha (656 nm): for emission nebulae and HII regions
- OIII (501 nm): for planetary nebulae and supernova remnants
- SII (672 nm): for sulfur emissions in deep emission regions
Together they enable the classic Hubble palette (SHO) – a favorite color combination among astrophotographers.
Compatibility:
These filters are parfocal with ZWO LRGB filters and fit in all 1.25″ filter wheels (such as the ZWO EFW 8×1.25″). They are optimally tuned for cameras like the ASI1600MM, 183MM or 294MM Mono.
What You Can Capture
✓ Hydrogen nebulae like the Rosette Nebula and California Nebula
✓ Supernova remnants like the Veil Nebula
✓ Planetary nebulae like the Helix Nebula
✓ SHO images in Hubble style with mono cameras
✓ Deep-sky targets with minimal light pollution
