When observing bright objects like the moon or planets, the image can quickly become too bright. This variable polarizing filter gives you control over the amount of light transmitted: from approximately 1% to 40%. This lets you determine the brightness and contrast you need, depending on the object and conditions.
The filter consists of two rotating parts. By turning them relative to each other, you can continuously adjust the light transmission. This makes it particularly suitable for the moon, as well as for planetary details and (in combination with a suitable solar filter) structures such as sunspots and faculae.
The neutral gray color ensures a true-to-life image without unwanted color tints. Thanks to its universal design, the filter fits almost all 1.25″ eyepieces.
