The ZWO ASI678MM is an uncooled monochrome astro camera for demanding lunar and planetary photographers seeking maximum sharpness and sensitivity. The camera features the Sony IMX678 CMOS sensor and offers 8.3 megapixels (3840 x 2160) in a compact design. Thanks to the small 2.0 µm pixels, this camera delivers excellent resolution, even at short focal lengths.

Compared to its predecessor, the ASI178MM, the ASI678MM offers significantly lower readout noise, higher sensitivity, improved infrared response, and an amp glow-free design. This allows finest planetary details to be captured even under moderate seeing conditions. The improved High Gain Mode (from gain 182) drastically reduces noise and increases dynamic range.
