The ZWO ASI482MC Color is a versatile color camera with high light sensitivity, a large sensor surface and excellent performance for lunar, planetary and deep-sky photography. Thanks to the Sony IMX482 STARVIS CMOS sensor, this camera is also particularly suitable for EAA, IR imaging and astrophotography with f/8 systems or faster.
The large 5.8 µm pixels ensure tremendous light gathering capability and make the camera ideal for use with refractors, Maksutovs and RC telescopes. The ASI482MC delivers clean images with low read noise, even without active cooling.
Key Features
- Sony IMX482 sensor (2.07 MP) – 5.8 µm pixels for excellent light sensitivity
- QE up to 85% – high sensitivity in visible and near-infrared range
- High speed – up to 82 fps at full resolution (1920 × 1080)
- CMOS with back-illuminated STARVIS technology – low noise, bright and sharp
- Suitable for f/8 or faster optics – optimal for long focal lengths
- Large sensor surface (11.1 × 6.2 mm) – for wide field of view
