ZWO AM5 Harmonic Equatorial Mount

The ZWO AM5 Harmonic Equatorial Mount is specially designed for mobile and precise astrophotography. Weighing only 5.5 kg and with a payload capacity of 13 kg without counterweight, this mount is ideal for both advanced amateurs and serious astrophotographers.

Thanks to harmonic drive technology, the AM5 offers exceptional stability and precision in an extremely compact format. The mount is directly compatible with the ZWO ASIAIR and can be easily controlled wirelessly via smartphone or tablet.

Two Modes, Maximum Flexibility

The AM5 can be used in both equatorial and alt-azimuth modes. Use the equatorial mode for deep-sky astrophotography, while alt-azimuth is ideal for visual observation or planetary photography. The status LED clearly shows which mode is active: red for equatorial, green for alt-azimuth.

No Counterweights Needed

No counterweight is needed for payloads up to 13 kg, thanks to the advanced harmonic drive. For heavier telescopes, an optional counterweight with bar is available, allowing loads up to 20 kg.

Reliable Tracking

Each AM5 is individually calibrated by ZWO. The guaranteed periodic error is below ±20 arcseconds. Combined with an autoguider like the ASI120MM Mini or ASI220MM Mini, tracking remains extremely stable.
