Meet the DWARF 3: powerfully light and compact
The DWARF 3 Smart Telescope offers a unique take on the smart telescope market, literally two in one. You have both a 737 mm telephoto lens For close-ups like a 45 mm wide-angle lens for wide panoramas. That means more range than the previous generation, while maintaining the wide field of view. So you capture more than ever, from distant galaxies to vast landscapes.
This optical leap goes hand in hand with a more powerful sensor and a faster Neural Processing Unit (NPU). Whether tracking birds, composing panoramas or photographing deep-sky objects, the DWARF 3 delivers cleaner, sharper images in less time.
Practicality has also been improved: a 10,000 mAh internal battery and 128 GB built-in eMMC memory give you the freedom to shoot for hours without additional equipment. Ideal for backyard observing sessions, on a stargazing night or on a weekend under dark skies.

Unique Dual Camera System
The DWARF 3 stands out from all other smart telescopes thanks to its innovative dual camera system. You get two lenses in one compact housing: a telephoto lens of 150 mm and a wide-angle lens of 6.7 mm. Together, they offer stunning image quality with respectively 737 mm (35 mm equivalent) at 3840×2160 resolution and 45 mm at 1920×1080 resolution.
The periscope style telephoto lens has been completely revised and delivers 45.8% more light output than the previous generation DWARF. That means significantly better low-light performance, ideal for astrophotographers who want to get the most out of their deep-sky shots.
Those who prefer to capture the big picture will appreciate the wide-angle lens. It offers almost the same field of view, but can be used with the help of the AI stitching function of the DWARF 3 are extended to impressive gigapixel panoramas. Thanks to improved software, now all recording functions, panorama, video, astrophotography, burst and timelapse, are used with both lenses.
In short: where with previous models you had to choose between wide angle or telephoto, with the DWARF 3 you get the best of both worlds, more light, more detail and more creative freedom in every session.

Simple operation
The DWARF 3 is designed to be very easy to use. Connecting to your device is effortless: connect via your WiFi network, or use the new NFC one-touch pairing to pair your smartphone or tablet with a single tap. No cables, no hassle, within seconds you are ready to observe or photograph.
With the DWARFLAB app, available for Android and iOS, you control the telescope completely wirelessly. The app supports multiple languages and makes image capture, both on Earth and in space, accessible to all.
During longer shooting sessions, the DWARF 3 works independently in the background. Simply start recording, minimize the app and let the telescope do the work, you only have to return when you are ready to finish the session.
Note: make sure your smartphone or tablet is Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi 5 GHz supports a stable connection and optimal performance.

The DWARF 3 features an advanced 35mm telephoto lens with a periscope mechanism that captures three times more light than the previous model. The lens is made of special ED lenses to minimize distortion, giving you sharp and clear images.

The DWARF 3 features the powerful Sony STARVIS 2 sensor, which increases the pixel size by 90% to 2µm. This ensures better light sensitivity and less noise, even at longer exposure times. So you can take sharp images without interference.

The DWARF 3 has three convenient built-in filters: VIS, Astro and Dual-Band. The VIS filter is suitable for daytime photos and works in the 430-650nm range. The Astro filter is perfect for photos in the dark and also works with infrared (430-690nm). The Dual-Band filter helps capture specific light waves, such as those from nebulae, and reduces disturbing light from the moon or city.

Improved astrophotography hardware
The DWARF 3 really takes compact astrophotography to the next level. Every part of the optical system has been redesigned: larger lenses, a new sensor and built-in filters designed specifically for astrophotography.
The updated telephoto lens has 116% more light collection than its predecessor, making even faint deep-sky objects more visible. The Sony IMX678 sensor with STARVIS 2 technology Delivers brighter, noise-free images thanks to 90.24% larger pixels and higher sensitivity in low light.
Also new are the internal astrophotography filters that refine the image even before you start post-processing.
- The Astro-filter lets more infrared light through for wider, high-contrast broadband shots.
- The Dual-Band Filter is tuned to OIII, H-alpha and H-beta wavelengths to capture emission nebulae more sharply.
And it doesn't stop at galaxies and nebulae: the DWARF 3 also takes razor-sharp shots of the moon, and with the included solar filter even from the sun.

Automatic tracking & stacking
Prepare for fully automated tracking. The DWARF 3 automatically tracks stars as they move across the sky due to Earth's rotation. The housing rotates smoothly in elevation and azimuth directions and corrects field rotation with a smart algorithm.
With the new EQ mode (in combination with a tripod that supports polar alignment) are exposure times up to four times longer possible, making fainter details in deep-sky shots more visible.
After capturing, your images are automatically stacked and noise-free processing using internal AI algorithms. With the mosaic function you also take huge panoramic shots directly on the device itself.
Those who prefer manual post-processing can export all raw data in FITS format, in addition to JPEG, PNG and TIFF.

AI-Powered Noise Reduction
Powerful Automatic Post-Processing
Reduce noise while maintaining detail, preserving brightness and texture even when shooting in less than ideal conditions (in cities or where light pollution is an issue)
AI-driven object recognition and tracking
The DWARF 3 uses a powerful Neural Processing Unit (NPU). to automatically recognize and track objects. Thanks to this new generation NPU, the tracking faster, more accurate and smoother than ever.
When the object slows down, all it takes is one tap to zoom in and see more detail. The wide-angle and telephoto lenses remain constantly synchronized, so you can switch between wide panoramas and close-ups with a single click in the app without re-alignment.

Some results

As standard, the DWARF 3 comes with a custom-made carrying case, equipped with soft inner lining that optimally protects the telescope and accessories during transport. Everything you need fits inside, so you're always ready to observe or photograph wherever you are.

Many possibilities in a compact device. Great addition to my hobby that “used to be” unattainable. Exploring the universe from your garden. Purchased to capture the larger DSO's (Andromeda, Heart, Veil etc) And of course the Milky Way which is just possible with this little device. And I saw many more “daytime” options in the menu. Huge panorama photos etc.. That will be a lot of YT tutorials to watch....

This Dwarf 3 is not comparable to the Dwarf 2. The results are much more contrasty, colorful and detailed because of the 35 mm Extra-Low Dispersion lens and the built-in Vis-, Astro- and Dual-band filters. The photo editing program Stellar Studio in the app. gives very good results, should you wish to use it. The Mega Stack is an amazing gadget, allowing you to merge several nights of photo sessions of the same galaxy/nebulae into one photo. Also the Mosaic setting that allows you to capture a larger area of, say, a nebulae is a very nice feature. Similarly, the ability to set up this Smart Telescope equatorially gives even better and more detailed pictures as you can then take longer shutter speeds. The “dual-native-gain” Sony IMX678 STARVIS 2 sensor ensures that you can set a much higher Gain setting, which gives better results. And lost but not least, the service that the team of Telescoop.nl offers you, should there be any problems, is a 10 with a pin! The conclusion ... Buy this Dwarf 3 at Telescoop.nl.
