The 26mm eyepiece from the Omegon SWA series brings large portions of the night sky into view. The 70° wide field of view provides a panoramic effect, making open star clusters, nebulae, and star fields appear spacious and detailed.
The optics consist of five carefully positioned lens elements in three groups. Thanks to the full multi-coating and blackened lens edges, the image is bright and high-contrast with minimal light scatter. The exterior features a sturdy rubber finish for grip.
The adjustable eye cup (the rim you look against) can be rotated in height for a comfortable viewing position, even with glasses. All SWA eyepieces are also parfocal: when switching between these eyepieces, minimal refocusing is needed.
