Anything that enters through that opening will eventually hit the mirror. Dust can be blown away, but cleaning a mirror is work you'd rather not do, and it doesn't do the coating any favors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This cover seals the opening once you are finished observing.
