It is stiffer than a tripod with three legs: the image settles more quickly after focusing and the pole position remains in place. The tripod weighs approximately 9 kg, supports up to 87 kg, and has adjustable, fixable leveling screws to ensure it is level even on uneven terrain. It is a complete tripod, not an extension to an existing tripod.<\/p>\n<p>This version comes with the iOptron mounting adapter, including a center pin, azimuth pin and screw set. The azimuth pin is the fixed reference point for alignment; without that pin, the mounting will drift during the pole alignment.
