It offers approximately 165 times more light than the naked eye and is operated by simply pushing it.

The MightyMak is a Maksutov-Cassegrain: a closed tube with a coated meniscus lens at the front. Dust and moisture stay out, collimation is rarely needed, and the lens suppresses reflections for a high-contrast image.

More opening, same simplicity

The Mini Dobsonian mount works like any Dobsonian: you push the tube towards the object and the Teflon bearings hold it in place. No tripod head that sags, no clamps to tighten. On a sturdy table or box, the setup is directly at eye level.

With the 25 mm eyepiece, you view at 40x; with additional eyepieces, up to approximately 180x is usable. Fine moon craters, Jupiter's cloud bands, Saturn's rings, and bright double stars: these are the best the series has to offer.

Also as a telephoto lens and spotting scope

Via the T2 thread with a buffer ring, you connect a camera and use the MightyMak as a super telephoto lens. During the day, with the zenith mirror, it's a fully functional spotting scope for birds and landscapes: the image is upright.

Included

Maksutov optics 90/1000 (closed tube)

Mini Dobson Table Mount

25 mm eyepiece (1.25 inch)

Zenith mirror 90 degrees

Red dot sight

GP swallowtail

Carrying bag

Featured accessories

Never look at the sun through a telescope without a certified solar filter: this will cause permanent eye damage within a second.

For whom yes, for whom no

For those who want the maximum detail from the series with the simplest operation. Not for those who want to observe while standing without a table; choose the MightyMak 90 Titania with a tripod instead, or compare larger mirrors on the Dobson page. Compare all compact models via the Choice assistant.
