About 130 times more light than the naked eye, operated by simply pushing: no tripod head, no clamps, no fuss.

The MightyMak is a Maksutov-Cassegrain: a closed tube with a coated meniscus lens at the front. Dust and moisture stay out, collimation is rarely needed, and the lens suppresses reflections for a high-contrast image.

Pushing is aiming

The Mini Dobsonian mount works like any Dobsonian: you push the tube towards the object and the Teflon bearings hold it in place. No tripod head that sags, no clamps to tighten. On a sturdy table or box, the setup is directly at eye level.

With the red dot finder, you aim with both eyes open and with the 25mm eyepiece, you view at 36x. With additional eyepieces, up to approximately 160x is usable: enough for sharp moon craters, Jupiter's cloud bands, and Saturn's rings.

Also as a telephoto lens and spotting scope

Via the T2 thread with a buffer ring, you connect a camera and use the MightyMak as a super telephoto lens. During the day, with the zenith mirror, it's a fully functional spotting scope for birds and landscapes: the image is upright.

Included

Maksutov optics 80/900 (closed tube)

Mini Dobson Table Mount

25 mm eyepiece (1.25 inch)

Zenith mirror 90 degrees

Red dot sight

GP swallowtail

Carrying bag

Featured accessories

The Omegon 7-21mm zoom eyepiece (€69) offers continuously variable magnification from 43x to 129x. An Omegon Premium moon filter (€19.90) dims bright moonlight, the Omegon Titania 500 tripod (€129) elevates the setup for upright use, and with the Omegon smartphone adapter 25-48mm (€14.90), you can photograph the moon.

Never look at the sun through a telescope without a certified solar filter: this can cause permanent eye damage within a second. For the partial solar eclipse on August 12, 2026, the Bresser solar eclipse glasses (€3.20) are the safest way to watch with the naked eye.

For whom yes, for whom no

Suitable for: those who want the easiest operation to balance the series, whether at home on the table or on the balcony. Not suitable for: those who want to observe while standing without a table; in that case, choose the MightyMak 80 Titania with a tripod.
