For telescopes with a short focal ratio, such as f\/5 to f\/7, you see the effect of image field distortion most strongly. You place the flattener between your telescope and camera. It has an M48 threaded connection with 55 mm backfocus, ideal for DSLR cameras with suitable bayonet adapter. Remove the adapter and you can use an M71 \u00d7 1 threaded connection with up to 75 mm backfocus for homemade adapters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The flattener has three lenses and a reduction factor of 0.77\u00d7. This makes your Esprit Apo faster, up to f\/5.4. It generates a fully corrected image circle of 36 mm, perfect for APS-C and full-frame cameras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
