Powerful images with lots of detail

The Skywatcher N 200/1000 200P EQ5 gives you a clear, deep view of the night sky. The 200 mm aperture captures a lot of light, so you see more than with smaller telescopes. Faint nebulae become clearer. Galaxies show fine structures. Globular clusters break open into dozens of tiny stars. You simply see more, because your image remains clear and sharp.

"Skywatcher

Sharp display without fuss

The parabolic primary mirror keeps your image sharp even when you magnify higher. So you recognize details faster and have to search less. The small secondary mirror keeps contrast high. This keeps planets quiet and clear in focus. Color deviation is barely visible, so your eyes can focus directly on what is really important: details.

"Skywatcher

Wide, bright images that help orient you

The short f/5 ratio makes your image bright. So you see structure in nebulae and star fields faster. That helps when you like to view a lot of sky at once. With 2″ eyepieces, you get a large field of view, making it easier to navigate. Useful when looking for large objects like Andromeda or Orion.

EQ5 mount: stable and precise

The EQ5 mount holds the telescope securely. You move smoothly and keep objects in view easily. The fine adjustment allows you to follow planets without jerking. After a simple alignment to the Pole Star, you can position objects precisely and track them quietly. With optional motors, you can later switch to automatic tracking when you want more.

Ready for visual viewing and expanding later

You start right away with the included eyepieces. The sturdy Crayford focuser makes focusing easy, even at high magnification. And when you later want to move toward astrophotography, the fast optics support that well. That's how this telescope grows with you.

What to expect

Moon: sharp edges and lots of relief
Jupiter: cloud bands and moons
Saturn: rings and separation clearly visible
Deep-sky: nebulae, star clusters and galaxies with more structure

What we recommend

✓ Perfect for deep-sky and planets
✓ Sturdy, reliable and expandable
✓ Very suitable for beginners who want to see more
✗ Long-exposure astrophotography requires upgrades
✗ Do not use for Sun without safe filter
