The dielectric coating reflects 99.1% of the light: virtually all the light your telescope captures reaches your eye. This is reflected in brightness and contrast, especially when observing planets, close binary stars, and at high magnifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The mirror itself is 12 mm thick and polished to 1\/10 wave accuracy: rigid and pure, without distortion during temperature changes.
