William Optics 61 Guidescope Guide Star Apo Gold: Apo-sharpness for your guiding<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The William Optics GuideStar 61 is an apochromatic guidescope featuring a 61 mm (2.4 inch) objective lens with FPL-53 glass. This glass delivers sharp, color-pure star points, and this very sharpness makes guiding more accurate: guiding software can determine the center of gravity of a sharp star more precisely than a blob. Made for guiding refractors with focal lengths from 700 to 1200 mm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The helical focusing works via the dew shield: loosen the ribbed locking ring, slide the hood until the star is in focus, and tighten it again. At the back, there is an extendable section for extra focusing range. This version is gold, supplied with a Vixen-style dovetail and carrying bag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the readily available Flat61R flattener, the GuideStar 61 becomes a flattened photography lens for small sensors: a complete travel astrograph in addition to its work as a guider.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
