The triplet lens of FPL-53 and lanthanum glass keeps color errors under control, so stars remain true dots. You see binary stars separate from each other, with no ragged edges. Jupiter shows cloud bands and Saturn shows a sharp ring structure that looks like you're flying right past it. Combined with the William Optics Flat7A, you shoot at f\/5.6, allowing for shorter exposures and less noise. You screw the flattener directly onto the focuser, so the camera is firmly attached and your photos stay consistently sharp.
