Polar alignment, the foundation of every sharp astrophotography image, is thus done entirely on your laptop screen: quickly, precisely, and without needing a view of Polaris.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The mount weighs 1.3 kg, carries 5 kg (11 lbs) and works both alt-azimuth and equatorially. Use the adjustment knobs to bring them together; the software automatically calculates using date, time, and atmospheric refraction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The method works in both hemispheres and also in locations where the North Star is hidden behind trees or buildings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>GoTo and tracking for astrophotography and visual observation<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two DC servo motors with optical encoders drive the GoTo control system.
