iOptron HAE69C AZ\/EQ Dual Mount With Handset: heavy-duty strain wave with manual control<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The iOptron HAE69C is an AZ\/EQ mount with strain wave drive (harmonic drive) on both axes. Without a counterweight, it carries 31.3 kg (69 lbs). Use it in alt-azimuth mode for quick visual observation or in equatorial mode for long-exposure astrophotography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This version includes the Go2Nova hand controller: for visual nights you select and confirm objects directly on the handset, while WiFi and computer control remain available for photography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The friction brake on both axles also holds a heavy tube safely in place in the event of a power failure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strain wave: power without counterbalance<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The strain wave gears deliver a high torque without backlash, making a counterweight unnecessary in most setups. That saves kilograms of heavy lifting and minutes of setup time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The electronic friction brake on both axes safely stops the mount in case of a power failure, and the power-down memory saves the alignment, so you can continue without re-aligning.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Handset plus wireless<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Go2Nova hand controller works instantly and without a phone; via the built-in WiFi, you can just as easily switch to SkySafari, iOptron Commander, or ASCOM and INDI software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
