The long focal length of 40 mm (1.6 inches) provides the lowest magnification and the smoothest image in the series. This allows you to scan the Milky Way, search for objects, and enjoy wide star fields without constantly adjusting.

All lens surfaces are fully multi-coated. This reduces reflections and keeps the image bright and contrasty. The interior of the eyepiece barrel is blackened to prevent stray light, and the housing is made entirely of metal.

Features

46-degree field of view for a wide and clear view to the edge

Lowest magnification in the series, with maximum overview

Foldable rubber eyecup against side stray light

Filter thread for color filters and nebula filters

Full metal casing, delivered in a twist-pack storage box

Compatibility

Fits any 1.25 inch (31.7 mm) focal length or zenith mirror and works on virtually any telescope. The brandmagnification you get is calculated by dividing the focal length of your telescope by 40 mm.

Specifications

Focal length

40 mm

Optical design

Plössl, 4 lenses in 2 groups

Apparent field of view

46 degrees

Coating

Fully multi-coated

Mount

1.25 inches (31.7 mm)

Filter thread

Yes

Housing

Metal

You can find more accessories for this brand at the Bresser 1TP5 Page.

Bresser Plossl ocular 40 mm with four fully multi-coated lenses, 46 degree field of view, metal housing and filter thread.
