The 152 mm aperture collects about 472 times more light than the naked eye, and the relatively fast f\/12.5 also keeps bright deep-sky objects within reach. The meniscus lens corrects the mirror almost completely: no chromatic aberrations and a small central obstruction, resulting in high contrast. The 152 mm aperture provides 73x magnification with the included 26 mm eyepiece; consider approximately 300x as the maximum (f\/12.5). Collimation is rarely necessary, and the optics are virtually maintenance-free. Allow 30 to 45 minutes for cool-down time: the closed tube must reach ambient temperature for the sharpest image. The 2.5-inch Hexafoc focuser supports heavy 2-inch eyepieces and camera equipment without shifting.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The EXOS-2 mount<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The EXOS-2 is a German equatorial mount of the EQ-5 class with a payload capacity of up to 13 kg. With the polar scope you align quickly and with the slow-motion cables you track objects smoothly.
