The Sky-Watcher Telescope N 130/650 Explorer-130P AZ-Go2 combines powerful optics with modern technology. Thanks to the integrated Wi-Fi and GoTo control, you can easily operate the telescope via your smartphone or tablet. The free SynScan app (for iOS and Android) allows you to automatically use more than 10,000 celestial objects to find and track - without complicated settings or astronomical knowledge.

With a opening of 130 mm and a focal length of 650 mm this Newton reflector already offers serious performance. Compared to a 114 mm telescope, it captures over 30% more light, making deep-sky objects like the Orion Nebula (M42), the Andromeda Nebula (M31) and open star clusters like the Pleiades brightly visible. The Moon and planets also come alive: you can clearly see Saturn's rings, Jupiter's moons and sharp crater details on the Moon.

"Sky-Watcher

The f/5 aperture ratio makes this telescope versatile - suitable for wide-angle observations and detail studies. The parabolic primary mirror delivers sharp images with minimal distortion, while the short tube (only 65 cm) ensures stability and portability.

The AZ-Go2 mount uses quiet servo motors to automatically track sky rotation. The single-arm, lightweight construction with curved arm prevents the telescope from hitting the mount when aiming toward the zenith. Thanks to the Vixen-Style dovetail you can easily detach the tube or mount other instruments. The sturdy stainless steel tripod with accessory holder provides a stable base and is height adjustable.

Power is possible via batteries or an external 12V power source. All necessary accessories are included - so you can get started right away.

As with any telescope from Telescoop.nl, you get extra support with installation and use, plus the 80-page beginner's manual “Telescope ABC.”.

Application:
The Sky-Watcher N 130/650 Explorer-130P AZ-Go2 is an excellent choice for beginners who want automatic operation without technical barriers.
You can with it:

  • Exploring the Moon in detail (craters, terminator, shadows)

  • Viewing Saturn's rings and Jupiter's moons

  • Discovering deep-sky objects such as the Orion Nebula and Andromeda Nebula

  • Having the sky tracked automatically via smartphone or tablet

Astrophotography is limited with this setup (e.g., lunar photos with smartphone adapter), but visually this telescope offers impressive performance.
